This Black History Month, join us at the library as we share a story from right here in New Hampshire! I Pass as White is the memoir of well-known Hudson resident William "Tex" Pointer, who grew up in Texas before moving to New Hampshire, chronicling his encounters with racism and ignorance as a light-skinned "white passing" Black man. Pointer provides a unique perspective on American history and the impacts of bigotry on a nation and its people.

This is a live reading of the book, presented by the author's daughter, Laura Pointer. Additional copies will be available for purchase at the event.
