In this "Brilliant, hilarious, surprising and wise" (Naomi Alderman, author of The Power and The Future) novel, Lauren comes home to find a man she's never met introducing himself as her husband, with her home and all the details of her life altered slightly as though they've been together for years. Before she can get to grips with the situation, he goes up into the attic and a completely different man comes back down, and Lauren finds her life changed again to match this new partner. With the knowledge that she can now cycle through a seemingly endless supply of alternate husbands and lives, the only question Lauren has to answer is: what, exactly, is she looking for?
