CP - Afterschool Adventures
Friday, Dec. 20, 3pm
Join Ms. Dorothy every First and Third Friday of the month for arts, crafts and activities designed for school-aged children. Please register so we can make sure to have enough supplies.
Fall 2024 Afterschool Adventures:
September 6th: Button Art - Buttons are our colorful and shiny medium for this craft activity. The theme will be birds and roosters!
September 20th: Making Magic Sticks - We will be decorating sticks using paint, beads, feathers, thread and yarn. Each piece will be a unique work of art!
October 4th: Halloween Garden Pots - Paint and decorate your own terra cotta garden pot for halloween -- it could be a ghost, ghoul, candy corn, an abstract piece, or anything your imagination conjures!
October 18th: Library Closed - No Afterschool Adventure.
November 1st: Beaded Heirloom Corn - We will be making beaded heirloom corn using pony beads and pipe cleaners - make the perfect decoration to celebrate the Fall!
November 15th: Perler Beads - We will be making perler bead creations -- we have tons of beads and templates ready to go!
December 6th: Making ornaments with pinecones and pompoms - Make a beautiful, colorful, unique seasonal ornament using pinecones, pompoms and cord.
December 20th: Making Sugar Scrub - Formulating bath products brings together science and art! We will be making sugar scrub - the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. Choose peppermint or lavender!
January 3rd: Cardboard Creations - This afterschool adventure will feature cardboard and all the MAKEDO tools you will need to construct -- what will it be ... a fort, a maze, a ship; work collaboratively and unleash your creativity during this fun interactive program!
Janaury 17th: Snake Papercraft - We will celebrate Lunan New Year (the year of the Snake) with a special craft!
