Summer Reading DIY:
Summer Reading DIY: Silkscreening, Zines, and Button Making

Saturday, Aug. 10, 11am-12:30pm
At this fun DIY event, Jef Scharf aka Wolfy aka Aro's dad will teach us the basics of silkscreening on fabric and paper. We will explore the tools and processes of silk screening, and participants will design, translate and print images onto shirts. All participants and helpers will get a shirt to take home at the end of the workshop. Wolfy has built a small mobile press with recycled materials that can print water-based inks on fabric and paper.

Meanwhile, we'll have two other stations where participants can design and make their own buttons using our button maker, and put together their very own zine using our photocopier and recycled magazines, newspapers, books, comic books, pencils, markers, stickers, stamps, and more.
