ING - The JFK Assass
ING - "The JFK Assassination at 60: Doubts, Developments, and Contradictions" (VIRTUAL/ZOOM event registration)

Monday, Dec. 11, 6:00pm
Edit (Nov 28, am): In response to the weather alert active in the region, the library has postponed the "JFK Assassination at 60" event originally scheduled for this evening at the Ingersoll Branch to the evening of Monday, December 11th, 6-7pm at the Ingersoll Branch. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. All confirmed registrations will remain valid for the rescheduled event.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963 captured the world’s attention and, arguably, changed the course of modern history. Sixty years on, it continues to captivate and intrigue. In this presentation, Randy Owen, Oxford County resident and renowned expert on JFK, will share his extensive knowledge on the subject, reviewing the newspaper reaction to the event in Southwestern Ontario, the many investigations that followed the assassination, and the release of official documents over the past sixty years. What mysteries, if any, remain unsolved?

WARNING: Open to 18+ only. Be advised that some of the presentation's content is graphic and may seem disturbing. This event is not advised for younger audiences.

Registration is mandatory for this, the virtual version (via Zoom) of the event (see above for date and time). To register online, click on "Register" and follow the prompts, or you may call the library at 519-485-2505 to register for you over the phone. Registrants must provide an email address at which they can receive the Zoom link on the day of the event. Be sure to check your email's junk/spam folders for any reminders or other notices related to this event.

All participants (even in virtual events) are subject to the Oxford County Library's Code of Conduct. Note that this presentation will not be recorded, nor is the recording of it in any way permitted.

About the speaker: Since the age of eleven, Oxford County resident Randy Owen has been researching the 1963 assassination of JFK. He has published articles on the subject and spoken at JFK conferences in the United States and Canada. He has met or interviewed key figures related to the assassination and occasionally serves as a consultant to museums and other research institutions.
