Start At One, the debut novel by this local author, is a fun, happy, and adventurous book that follows Katherine Greene, a woman who heads home to Rhinebeck to start over. Katherine needs to find work fast, so she takes a temporary job in town. She ends up tackling work she has no business doing and solving crimes the local police can’t, all while trying to pull her personal and love life together. The novel is full of zany adventures that take place in various locations around Rhinebeck. You will feel like you are part of the action as you follow Katherine through the streets and landmarks of our historic town.

Beth Hayes and her family live in Rhinebeck, NY. A retired engineer, she’s leading a fun, happy and adventurous life. Her retirement motto is Three Things Each Day - health, creativity and discovery.
