TIL - Archiving at Home: Skills for Preserving Your Historical Records
Saturday, Oct. 14, 12:30pm
Led by Megan of the Oxford County Archives, this hands-on workshop covers the basics of preserving historical records at home. From storage and handling to cleaning and repair, “Archiving at Home” will help you keep your old documents, photographs, videotapes, and other family treasures safe. Feel free to bring an item from home (document or photograph) to the workshop for Liz or Megan to assess. Participants will also receive a small kit of preservation supplies to keep.
Advance registration is required (cap is 15 people; a waiting list is also available). A $10 fee is required per participant (payable at the workshop, by cash or cheque only) to help cover workshop supplies. (Cheques must be made payable to the Oxford County Archives, not the library.) Adults and seniors only, please.
Registration closes on October 12th.
