Quena Workshop with
Quena Workshop with Bob Burroughs
Outside

Wednesday, Jul. 12, 10:30am-11:30am
Rescheduled from its original date. We'll start with some background and history of this traditional Andean flute, and then move on to learning the basics of how to play. Similar to the Japanese end-blown flute the Shakuhachi, the quena has a "textured" and "dark" timbre compared to the western concert flute. A limited number of inexpensive instruments will be available for purchase. Please register to attend. This event will be indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate.
