Calling all artists! The City of Goleta is having an art contest for all ages! Create a piece of art with the theme “Creek Week” to promote awareness of the habitats, watersheds, and critters that are affected by the actions of our community. The art will be hung on the wall and be displayed at Goleta Valley Library. Pick up an application and submission guidelines at the library. Art must be submitted by 9/14/22.

Art competition guidelines 

Rules 
Artwork must be turned into the Goleta Valley Library, 500 N. Fairview Ave. Goleta CA, by 5:00pm 9/20/22
There are three categories: adults (18 +), teens (7th-12th grade), and children (6th grade and below). 
All artwork that represents the theme will be accepted. 
Participants may only submit one piece of art. 
Art must be original, completed solely by the participant. 
All mediums allowed (photography, painting, drawing, collage, etc.). 
Artwork not required to be framed, but must have participants name and category on the back. 
Art must be no larger than 11 X 14 (including frame) and have a way to be hung on the wall. 
The art will be scored on relevance to the theme, overall appearance, and originality. 
Art must be picked up at the Goleta Valley Library October 4-8, 10:00 am -5:00 pm. 

Artwork will be judged and ribbons will be awarded on September 24th.  Artwork will remain on display for the community to enjoy until September 30th 2022. 

CREEK WEEK is an annual celebration of our creeks, watersheds, and the ocean, with many organizations hosting events to help build awareness and stewardship of the natural treasures of Santa Barbara, Goleta and Carpinteria.
