or call 805-964-7878.

In Honor of Black History Month, our February craft will celebrate the achievements of Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel in space! Stop by the library this month to pick up a STEM craft kit to make your own spaceship, then join us for the online workshop February 24 at 3:00 p.m. to make our rockets together. Every kit will also include information about Mae Jemison and a list of books available at Goleta Valley Library to learn more about influential figures in Black history.

If you’re not able to pick up a kit from the library, you can still participate with your own supplies at home. Click here to download the rocket template to print out.
