Library Calendar of Events

The Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area is bringing a telescope to the library for all ages to get an up-close view of the moon. This event will be held outside. Check our Facebook page the day of for any cancellation due to inclement weather. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 6:00pm

Monmouth County Council for Young Children, the library, and Bradley Beach Elementary School meets to share resources with parents. Refreshments provided. 

Children in grades K-4th practice their literacy skills by reading to a dog, making art, playing word games, and writing activities. Thursday, Feb. 6, 3:30pm

Always wanted to learn more about your ancestors? Come to a presentation to learn some of the basics of Heritage Quest, a free database available through the library. Thursday, Feb. 6, 6:30pm

Families can make an art project while sipping (nonalcoholic) beverages. Some snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Space is limited, and there might be a small wait for your turn. Ages 5+ Tuesday, Feb. 11, 4:00pm

Join our newest book club! Participants must register at the front desk and pick out a recipe from the monthly cookbook. Participants then bring their recipe and ingredient list, and discuss the pros and cons of the cookbook over their delicious creations. 

Enjoy the day off from school by playing games and making crafts related to Frozen II. Friday, Feb. 14, 1:30-2:30pm

Join us and Devon from Devon's Kitchen to learn how to make quesadillas! Afterward we will read the book Just Ask by Sonia Sotomayor.This is event is for children ages 5-12. Please register each child attending. Children ages 5-7 must be accompanied by an adult

Back Porch Blues: Celebrate Black History Month with an evening of live acoustic blues with Grammy-nominated artist Junior Mack. We’ll take a musical journey from Mississippi to Chicago, with a few stops in-between. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 6:00pm
