Library Events

Join us for our casual conversation about what we're reading, watching, and listening to lately. No assigned readings; just book-lovers talking about the books, movies, and shows they love. We meet at noon on the first Friday of every month.

We’ve expanded our Check Mates program to include other board and card games. Stop by with friends or family to play a game from our board game collection, or join a pick-up game with other patrons. Open to all ages.

The Board of Trustees meets every second Thursday at 1:00pm. Meetings are open to the public. 

Each month we bring out our arts & crafts supplies and invite you to come in and make something wonderful. Painting, drawing, origami, knitting, beadwork, embroidery, you name it. We provide the supplies, you provide the creativity.

This twice-monthly writing workshop for teens and adults features writing prompts, exercises, and moderated feedback sessions where authors working on short fiction can practice their craft, develop new skills, and get constructive input from other writers.

Hang out with our Anime Club! Every month we meet to watch a couple episodes of an anime series, eat snacks, make a craft, and chat about the Japanese media we're reading and watching. Open to middle and high schoolers only (ages 11-18)

This continuing film series will highlight small, independent, and foreign films featuring senior citizens as main characters. We'll meet in the library's program room for mid-day matinees, free popcorn, and post-screening conversation.

Video Game Night is back, and we're making it a monthly program! Join other teens for Nintendo Switch games like Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart. April showers bring May flowers! Come learn how to make some basic paper flowers with crepe paper, tissue paper, floral tape, and wire. Advanced registration required so we can have enough supplies on hand. Free and open to adults and teens 14+.

Assemble a team and join us for our live, in-person trivia contest covering a range of general knowledge categories including history, music, geography, politics, business, and culture. Bragging rights (and modest prizes) are at stake at this monthly, hour-long program.
