Benefits of Children
Monday, Mar. 2, 6:00 p.m.

Join us on Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 p.m. to learn about the Benefits of Children's Yoga with Theresa Tovey.  Theresa is both an occupational therapist at Essex Elementary School and a leader of adult training in children's yoga.  Believing strongly in the many benefits of yoga for ALL children, Terry integrates children's yoga into her therapy sessions, small groups, and whole classrooms at Essex Elementary School. In tonight's presentation, she will highlight what makes children's yoga different from adult yoga, present the general structure of a children's yoga class, and lead you through a preschool level yoga class. She hopes you will enjoy the true pleasure of being a four-year-old once again as you experience the power of breath, movement, music, meditation, and relaxation.

This program is part of an informative and free 4-part series of wellness presentations that are sure to provide you with helpful tools and tips for parenting your young children.  Come to all or just one session.  Sessions will be held at the Brainerd Library in the Children’s Room on the first 4 Mondays of March from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Finger foods and drinks will be available.  Children are welcome! Library Staff and teen volunteers will be on hand to engage your children in fun activities.

This series is offered by H/K Youth and Family Services in partnership with Killingworth and Brainerd Memorial Libraries
