Teen Grab & Go: Plan
Monday, May 23
Plant a seed and help them grow into lovely marigolds.  We'll give you the seeds and peat to get the process started.  Once the seeds sprout, these flowers can grow equally well in a pot or in the ground. 

For teens in grades 6-12.  Registration is required; supplies are limited.

Come take a walk down memory lane to the days of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s with author Rochelle Pennington. She will detail everyday life during the bygone years of corner phone booths, party lines, hand-me-down clothes, wringer washing machines, and outhouses.

Memory Cafés are informal social gatherings for those who have early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss, or mild cognitive impairment, and their care partner. Sponsored by Friends of the Pewaukee Library.

Monday, June 20.  Magician Matthew Teague!  Get ready to be AMAZED!    Mr. Teague has been on “Penn & Teller’s: Fool Us” show, regularly headlines around the state, and will dazzle us with magic, mind-reading, and audience participation.  Best for ages 5 and older.

Tuesday June 21.  9:30:  Stories in the Park at Kiwanis’ Village Park, 325 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee.  Come on out and enjoy a fun, participatory Story Time with Ms. Jenny.  Bring a blanket to sit on, sunscreen and insect repellant if needed, and a snack.  Stay and play at the park following the stories!  Fun for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners but older siblings are always welcome and make great helpers.

Tuesday, June 21 at 1:30.   Waterfall Book Club reads: A Camping Spree with Mr. Magee by Chris Van Dusen.  Registration is required and starts Monday, June 13. The book will be read aloud followed by discussion and activities. Waterfall Book Club is for students entering grades 1 and 2. 

Mr. Magee and his dog Dee go camping and have an adventure with a hungry bear.

Camp Out and Read
Thursday, Jun. 23, 6:00 pm
For teens entering grades 6-12.  Bring your own blankets, pillows, and a book, and get ready to "camp out" in the library's Community Room!  Everyone can make their own blanket forts, and then curl up inside with a something to read.  S'mores will be served when we're done reading!

Registration is required so that we can prepare the right amount of s'mores supplies.
Funtastic Fridays!

Friday, June 24th:  Mrs. Z. will be here and we will be doing some great "fishy" crafts to help us "Dive Into Summer!"  We will be making a fishing game with paper tubes, decorating a cool fish bookmark, and coloring an underwater scene.  Stop in between 10:00 and 12:00, but be sure to give yourself time to complete the projects.  
Adults: we need donations of clean toilet paper tubes - please drop them off at the library when you can!  Thanks!

Ruff Readers
Friday, Jun. 24, 11:00 - 1:00
Fridays, 11:00 to 1:00.  DOGS, we have DOGS!  And these dogs LOVE to listen to kids read to them.  Stop in anytime between 11:00 and 1:00 and read to a wonderful furry friend.  Dogs are great listeners and this is an easy way for kids to practice their reading aloud skills.  Bring your own book or use one that we have ready to go.  No registration but we will make a list if needed.

You can make your own single-person serving of everyone's favorite comfort food - macaroni & cheese - in a mug using your microwave and a few simple ingredients.  We'll give you the supplies you need and the instructions (we ask that you supply your own milk, as well as a mug and a microwave); you can make your mac & cheese at home at a time that is convenient for you.

For anyone entering grades 6-12.  Registration is required; supplies are limited.  Join Ms. Sandy on the library's Facebook page on Wednesday, June 29 at 2:00 for a demonstration!

Monday, June 27.  Pewaukee Favorite – Truly Remarkable Loon, Comedy Juggler!  Join us for a very impressive and fun show as T.R. Loon reminds us to “Read Books and Juggle Everything Else!”  Juggling, plate-spinning, flying monkeys, and jokes – what more could you ask for?   Highly recommended for all ages.
