​​Stop in with your device and talk with our librarian about your technology questions. This program runs weekly on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, or by appointment! We encourage anyone who is looking to better understand and use their devices to drop in.

Teen Game Afternoon

Join us in the classroom on September 3 at 2 pm for a board game afternoon. Get the teens out of the house and into the Library for some fun. We have tons of great board games! Come and check it out.

Storytime

Join us in the Great Hall of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library for Storytime!

We have the scarves and the egg shakers. We have the songs and the stories. We just need you and the kiddos!
Each month we have a new theme. Each day after Storytime we will have a craft or activity for the littles to enjoy.
Storytime promotes early literacy, and helps young learners become kindergarten ready by practicing sitting, listening, reading, sharing, following directions, movement, and song with other children and adults.
All with lots of fun mixed in!

This is a weekly FREE program

Best for pre-k age kids. Families welcome! Older kids are also welcome, but might not get the most out of this program.

Can't do the stairs down to the Used Book area? Don't fret, Used Book Sale Accessible Sunday is on the main floor of the Canajoharie Library in the Great Hall from 12 pm -3 pm. Bring your strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers and check out a great selection of Used Books for all ages at great prices. 
Sunday is also Bag Sale day. Bring a bag and fill it up with selected bargain books.

Resume Support (New

Thursday, Sep. 12, 3:30 pm
Join us for a new monthly program Resume Support on second Thursdays of each month at 3:30 in the classroom. This program is led by our Library Director and is designed to give you one-on-one assistance in drafting, organizing, and polishing your resume. We can also help with cover letters, references, and communication techniques.

Please bring your current resume and a laptop if you have one. Laptops are not required, we have a few that can be used during the program. If you know where you are applying bring the information with you or have it accessible on your phone or computer.

This program is free. Space is limited and registration is requested.

Kids Concert Series

Friday, Sep. 13, 11:00 am
Join us every second Friday of the month for a special kids music concert with talented musician Gary Van Slyke.

Gary has been performing for many years and has a wonderful curriculum of songs that will get your kids clapping, stomping, and singing along.

Each concert is unique and full of new songs. Gary might even bring instruments for the kids to try out!

This program is FREE and open to all. The music will be centered on 0 - 11 age group, but older folks are welcome to join us.
Kyle Price Cello Sol

Friday, Sep. 13, 6:00 pm
Join us September 13 for a special concert with cellist Kyle Price performing music in the unique space of our Original Art Gallery (Night Watch).

Enjoy the Museum galleries and some Prosecco before the concert! Then join us in the Night Watch gallery for a solo performance of Britten’s Third Suite for Cello and Bach’s Cello Suite No. 3. Kyle Price has carefully designed an evening of music complementing the artwork in the gallery, which includes paintings by Winslow Homer, William Merritt Chase, Childe Hassam, and more.
An evening to savor both music and art.

Doors open at 6:00 pm
Concert begins at 7:00 pm

Book Tasting: Indige
