Functional Yoga Fundamentals - In this class we use fundamental/basic yoga postures and functional movement to build strength and fine-tune balancing skills. We start with a slow warm-up followed by postural core exercises and then explore how to utilize these tools in a more traditional yoga setting/practice. Join the Taft staff in getting up close & personal with the macroinvertebrates and other organisms that live in the Rock River!
Learn about the local waterways & what lies below by using a net & seeing what can be found.

Dress for the outdoors & please wear closed toed/heeled water shoes.
Meet at the Taft Campus parking lot located at 1414 N. River Road, Oregon.

Rock River Headwater

Come explore the Rock River! It is connected to all of Oregon's local history and to one of the most incredible natural habitat areas in the United States. Join us for a virtual tour of the Rock River headwaters- Horicon Marsh. Horicon Marsh, located in Wisconsin, is sometimes called the "little Everglades of the North" and is the origin of our very own Rock River. Enjoy an interactive presentation from Caleb Jenks, a former Horicon Marsh guide, highlighting the incredible story and wildlife of this wetland of international importance.
