Everything you'll need to start the seed in its own little biodegradable pot. Geared towards children, but anyone who stops by who wants to start a plant is more than welcome too! We need all the biodiversity we can get. Weather permitting the gardening table will be set up on our lovely new deck out back! Otherwise we'll be inside in the children's room.

With abundant rivers, lakes and ponds The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor has perfect habitat for bald eagles -- our national symbol. Over the past decade eagles have been returning to the region and nesting along our rivers and lakes. This program tells the history of bald eagles  in the country and describes the unique characteristics of these amazing birds. Information will be provided on TLGV’s role assisting the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to monitor bald eagle nests and statewide midwinter eagle survey.

TLGV Rangers are trained volunteers who support the organization by presenting information at fairs and festivals, and conducting outreach programs throughout the National Heritage Corridor.  TLGV Rangers are essential to articulating the mission, important work and membership benefits of joining TLGV - and they have fun doing it!
