Cookie Decorating

Sam Rajaniemi will be at the library on December 7th at 6pm to share her skill and expertise in cookie decorating!
Royal Icing is typically used for decorating various kinds of desserts, though it is most common for cookie decorating. This type of icing dries hard which allows for layering different colors and achieving more intricate designs. 
Geared at adults and teens who are looking to up their cookie technique or just enjoy a fun and creative evening at the library.

Engineering a house or any structure out of gumdrops isn't as easy as it sounds. This month we'll be helping the Spicer Family build a new home, seeing as ~someone~ ate their gingerbread house. Best for grades K-5. Registration required

Year 3 of our kids book club is starting up in September! This year our theme is Renegade Readers as we jump from genre to genre throughout the shcool year. This is an "immersive" book club, we don't sit around and discuss different aspects of the book. Jump into the book with active activities, games, crafts, snacks, and even dress up if you like! There are some exciting books and activities in the works and you definitely don't want to miss this. Our meetings are an hour long on Tuesdays at 4:30pm and for children age 8-12 years. Registration required, you are signing up for the club from Sept-May (don't worry about having to miss a couple)

September's Book is "Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus" by Dusti Bowling and there are multiple copies available at the library now.
