Virtual Dementia Tou
KHCPL South
Thursday, Jul. 15, 3:00 to 5 p.m.

Curious why your loved one with Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia does seemingly odd things? With the Virtual Dementia Tour® at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library, you can experience a simulation of what living with dementia is like.

KHCPL will offer the Virtual Dementia Tour from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, at KHCPL South. There is a limited number of spots available each time we offer the tour, so registration is required. Once you register, we'll contact you to schedule your time to take the tour. Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour begins. Allow up to one hour for the tour. Masks strongly encouraged.

P.K. Beville, founder of Second Wind Dreams®, created the Virtual Dementia Tour® for families, organizations, and companies seeking to better understand the physical and mental challenges of those with dementia.

Earning prizes for reading has never been easier.  All ages can sign-up for the Summer Reading Program, which can be done at: any location, our kickoff event, or through Beanstack online (more info below).  Reading 20 minutes at a time moves you to the next stop, and four of the stops along the way will earn you prizes – that’s right four prizes just for reading!  You’ll also earn a grand prize entry if you finish the program.  There are different grand prizes for each age group, and in the past they’ve included various awesome prizes such as: gift baskets chock-full of goodies, bicycles, gift cards to Best Buy, and anime-themed mystery boxes – just to name a few!  Call any library location for any questions about the Summer Reading Program!
