Introduction to Orie

Do you know what orienteering is? Orienteering is a sport which requires participants to use a map and compass to navigate across a diverse and unfamiliar landscape. Learn all of the orienteering basics, and then test your map skills on a course at the Alpha Park. Meet at the Alpha Park Pavilion, and wear comfortable clothing, and walking shoes. Registration required.

Looking for more crafting projects? This spring, APL will be introducing a new passive program: Cultural Crafts.
Stop by the library on the third Friday of every month to pick up your craft project,
complete with an explanation of the craft's significance.

Reading is always more fun with a furry friend! APL has partnered with the Peoria Humane Society to offer this popular program for school-age children to practice their reading skills. Spend some quality reading time with a specially trained therapy dog! This program will be held outdoors in our Reading Garden if weather permits. If inclement weather occurs, we will notify registrants of the program cancellation and will reach out as soon as possible with the reschedule.
