Library Events

Enjoy family time together with stories, silly songs, and rhymes. A new theme each week will entertain preschoolers and develop school readiness skills with vocabulary, colors, numbers, faces and shapes. A fun make-and-take craft follows each session.
This program is designed for families. Meets in the 2nd floor Turret room of the Library. Spring term will run for 10 weeks, Thursdays from March 7 to May 16. Please register in advance to attend.  Limit 18 children with their family members per session.

Join us as we build and create our special mission for the day!  Lego bricks are provided by the Library and you can use your imagination and STEM skills to create something amazing. Your creation will be put on display at the end of the session. Building takes place for one hour, from 11:00am until noon.  Ages for this activity is 5 and up and is limited to 15 participants per session.  We will meet in the Youth Services Area on the 2nd floor of the Library. Lego Club is very popular, so please register for each session individually, mark your calendars and plan to attend.

Enjoy the classic book Ramona and Her Mother by Beverly Cleary. You can either read it by yourself or with your mom. Then, join children's librarian Ms. Beverly to discuss earlier chapters of the book, read the last chapter together, and make a special card and/or craft to give to your mom on Mother's Day!  
          For ages 7-10. Please register in advance to attend. Limit 10 participants. Stop in the Library and visit the 2nd floor Children's desk to pick up a free copy of the book, available beginning April 22.  Be sure to bring the book with you to our meeting!
