This monthly writing workshop for teens and adults features writing prompts, exercises, and moderated feedback sessions where authors working on short fiction can practice their craft, develop new skills, and get constructive input from other writers. Sponsored by The Community Library.

Stop by the library for board game time with other teens! We've got classics like Life and Sorry as well as newer games like Dixit, Fluxx, and more. Bring a few friends, or make new ones here! Have you learned the rules of chess, but get lost when you start playing an actual game? Is your child wiping the floor with you every time you play? This class will go over chess fundamentals to help you create a strong position out of the opening, set up attacks in the middle game, and finish them off with checkmate.This session is open to people over the age of 14; a separate session for younger chess players will be offered next month. We had a blast with STEAAM programs over the summer, and we've got another fun series for the fall! First up, pneumatic machines!
