Join us for upcoming events, classes and programs at Amenia Free Library! All events are free and open to the public.

Nature Scouts at Rud
Thursday, Aug. 5, 3:00 - 4:00pm
After a brief overview of insect characteristics and adaptations for survival, students will spend time observing and collecting insects at Rudd Pond.

The program is for students in Kindergarten - 6th grade.
Space is limited and RSVP is required.
Please fill out a form for each child participating.
A parent or caregiver must stay with the child(ren) attending the program (this is not a drop-off program).

The anatomy of a bird can teach students a great deal about its behavior and ecology. Through demonstrations, props, and hands-on activities, students discover the characteristics of birds and their means for survival.

Amenia v. Millerton
Friday, Aug. 13, 5:15pm
Join us and the North-East Millerton Library for a Golf Tournament!

We'll be playing a 2 person, 9 hole Scramble on Friday, August 13th at 5:15pm. The entry fee is $50 and includes a dinner afterwards of hamburgers and hot dogs. There will be prizes for the top players of each team. 

The registration deadline is Tuesday, August 10th.
