Bestsellers Book Clu

Join us for great reads & great conversation! We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6pm to discuss a book that has hit the bestseller’s list in recent years.  Books are available at the library for existing members to pick up one month prior to the meeting.
Not yet a member? Sign up anytime! No cost, but a library membership is required to reserve a copy of the book.
The book for May's book club is This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger.
Storytime

Storytime is a half-hour story time for young children with adult supervision required. Miss Katie will lead the Storytime with songs, puppets, a story and a simple craft. Storytime is typically held every Wednesday at 11:30am. Ages 3+
Weigh to Go Wednesda

Wednesday, May 14, 6pm
Meet up with others on their weight loss and healthy living journeys ecah week for talk, tips, and much needed support.  Individuals age 18 and over are welcome to join Weigh to Go Wednesday each week at 6pm, with weigh-ins starting at 5:30pm.  

No registration needed!  Please feel free to stop in during a meeting to see what it's all about!  If you'd like to join the group, you can do so at that time!

As a part of Weigh-to-Go Wednesday, Licensed Massage Therapist Aretta Hacker will present on manual lymph drainage and self-help techniques.  No cost; no registration nececessary.
Mindful Friends Club

Mindful Friends Club is an opportunity for individuals with similar needs & challenges to meet up to socialize and engage in a variety of library-run activities. Independent individuals of neurodiversity ages 18+ are welcome! Those with support needs should be accompanied by a responsible caregiver.

Note: The library is in no way providing mental health support or development assistance of any kind. This program simply serves as social opportunity for like-minded individuals in our community.

Mindful Friends Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month at 2:30pm in the library.  The first Thursday will feature a library-run activity; the third Thursday will be a game day.
DIY Thursday: Fringe

You can do-it-yourself! Each month, we feature a different project and include all supplies and instruction. 
For May, we'll be creating fringe flags - just in time for Memorial Day!

Open to ages 18+.  Teens/children permitted with adult accompaniment and supervision. Registration required as space is limited!
Note: To accomodate for high demand, registration for the next DIY Thursday open on the day of the previous DIY Thursday program.
Baby Bookworms

Join Miss Katie on Fridays at 11:30am for a special lapsit storytime with our littlest library friends.  A short story, rhymes and songs will be led by Miss Katie as parents/caregivers hold their little ones on their laps and follow along. Playtime will follow the program! Exposure to book handling, following along with words, and reading aloud helps garner early literacy skills and promote building a strong vocabulary from birth.

Open to children ages 0 to 2 and their caregivers.  Registration is not required but is appreciated for planning purposes! Feel free to come as you can!

Join Mia Airgood, HAVIN Outreach-Education/Medical Advocate as she presents the basics of verbal defense and shares tips and tricks for personal safety and simple de-escalation language.

Do you crochet, knit, or enjoy other crafting? Have you always wanted to learn? Drop in any Monday night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm to join in this knotty group! Learn, work on your own project, or work together to benefit the community.  This program is free, and walk-ins are always welcome to join.

Put your building skills to the test at LEGO Club!  We'll have our LEGOS and some challenges ready for builders on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Open to ages 6+ (children under 10 must have adult supervision).

Ukulele Night

Come jam with us! Ukulele Night is now open to ukulelists of all skill levels! Bring your own uke or borrow one of ours (first come, first serve). New to the uke? Feel free to come in at 5:30pm for a brief instruction session to get you up to speed for the night’s chords.

Registration required.  Open to all ages (note: children under 8 years of age are typically unable to play a ukulele, but are welcome to give it a shot!  If you would like to come as a family, we will have tambourines, maracas, and other small instruments they can play along with as well!)
