You're never too young to start learning about money! Miria Gray of Chelsea Groton Bank will host 4 classes for kids on the basic of money starting in July! Participants will learn basic of money through creative projects and games. These classes will be held on Thursdays at 11:30 am starting in July.

Cooking for little ones! Join Erica Benvenuti of UCONN New London Extention for a series of cooking classes for your little ones! Grow  cooking skills: each session participants learn to make a dish that’s tasty and healthy! The Connecticut State Library is coming to Preston! On Saturday, August 1st the State Library’s new Mobile Outreach Van will be at the Library at 3:00 pm to showcase its services for Connecticut residents! This state-of-the-art library-on-wheels gives Connecticut residents access the state library’s resources such as state archives, children’s services, museum exhibits and more without having to travel to the library itself in Hartford. Discover why the State Library of Connecticut is one of the best state library systems in the country! This service has been made possible with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, as well as money from the American Rescue Plan Act. Thursday, August 1st at 5:30 pm: We’re ending our summer learning programs with a bang: enjoy a dynamic show of magic and wonder with a performance by Mr. Magic! This amazing entertainer will perform magic and illusions for participants (and even teach the audience a few magic tricks too!) Enjoy this fun, interactive show that never disappoints! For all ages and abilities: no registration required.

Sewists of all experience levels are welcome as we take a button-up shirt and transform it into something new, such as a skirt, child’s top or dress, or other project. We will use sewing machines and other tools to design and sew our projects. Bring an adult-sized button-up shirt to cut up for your project. Thrifted items welcome! (A small selection of shirts will be available.) All tools and supplies provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines if desired.
