Join us for upcoming events at Kent Free Library. All events are free and open to the public. Registration is required where noted.

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 7:00 p.m.
Students in grades 6-8 are invited to join us for crafts, science experiments or games each week. Registration is required each week and begins one week ahead of each meeting. 
Friday, Oct. 25
Kids ages 3-14 are invited to participate in the Kent Free Library's first Pumpkin Carving and Decorating Photo Contest! Participants simply have to send a photo of their best-carved or decorated pumpkin to shelley.hall@kentfreelibrary.org by Friday, October 25 to enter. Entries must include the participant's full name (first and last), age and a phone number. All photo submissions will be printed and displated in the Children's Room from October 27-October 31 to allow the public to vote for their favorite. The three pumpkins that receive the most votes will receive a candy prize!

Free Concert: Folk s
Sunday, Nov. 3, 2:00 pm
Enjoy a free all-ages concert at the library when Jesse Huge, a folk musician from Burton, performs bluegrass and old country music with banjo, acoustic guitar, and vocals. Huge takes pride in crafting unique songs that carry great meaning for him.

Concerts are held on the 2nd floor balcony, so music can be enjoyed throughout the building.  Limited seating will be available.

No registration is required.

Concerts are generously supported by the Friends of Kent Free Library.

Who will create the best slimy, non-edible, dessert? Make and decorate cupcakes and cookies using slime, clay, kinetic sand and more! "Desserts" will be judged on appearance, execution and creativity. After judging, squish your creation to make one big slime! This program is for students ages 8 to 13 years old.
