Join us for upcoming events at Kent Free Library. All events are free and open to the public. Registration is required where noted.

Builders Club
Thursday, Oct. 28, 4:00 pm

Join us for creative construction featuring different types of building toys - Legos©, Duplos, K’Nex, Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and more! Participants can bring their own materials or use the ones available at the library. Creations may be left to display at the library between meetings for everyone to enjoy! This program is for children ages 4-14 years old and will be held in the large meeting room. Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each meeting. 
Fall programming attendance numbers will be smaller to allow for more space between participants. Masks are required during all Youth Services Department programming for attendees ages 2 and up. 

DIY Haunted Gingerbr
Saturday, Oct. 30, 11:00 a.m.
Families with children of all ages are invited to assemble and decorate a haunted gingerbread house together. There will be a limit of one house per family. Please list the number of people in your group when registering. Choose either the 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. session. Registration is required and begins one week in advance. 
Fall programming attendance will be limited to allow for more space between participants. Masks are required during all Youth Services Dpeartment programming for attendees ages 2 and up. 
DIY Haunted Gingerbr
Saturday, Oct. 30, 12:00 p.m.
Families with children of all ages are invited to assemble and decorate a haunted gingerbread house together. There will be a limit of one house per family. Please list the number of people in your group when registering. Choose either the 11 a.m. or 12 p.m. session. Registration is required and begins one week in advance.

Project LIT Book Clu
Monday, Nov. 1, 3:00 p.m.
Teens grades 9-12 are invited to join us every six weeks for a book club dedicated to reading and discussing diverse and culturally relevant YA literature. 
Minecraft on Zoom
Monday, Nov. 1, 4:30 p.m.

Join us on Zoom for our Minecraft stream to help us create our own Minecraft world. Participants can join in on the fun with their own Minecraft accounts. This program is for children entering grades 1 - 6 and will meet online only. You will receive an email at 4:00 p.m. the afternoon of the program. The email will contain a Zoom link and password that will allow you to join the virtual program. We suggest logging in three to five minutes prior to the start time to make sure your technology is working.
Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each meeting.

Pokemon Club is back! Whether you like to battle, trade, or just discuss all things Pokemon, this club is for you! Bring your cards and decks and join us for an hour of poke-tastic fun! This program is for children ages 4-14 years old and will be held in the large meeting room. 
Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each meeting.

Students in grades 6-8 are invited to join us for monthly meetings! Each meeting we'll feature a different activity. This month, you'll create your own comic book! Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each meeting.

NBA2K21 Tournament
Saturday, Nov. 13, 2 to 4 p.m.
Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us to play in a tournament or come by and watch others play! Registration is required and begins one week in advance of the program.
