Join us for upcoming events at Kent Free Library. All events are free and open to the public. Registration is required where noted.

Summer Lunch at the
Monday, Jul. 29, 1 to 2 p.m.
In partnership with the Community Action Council of Portage County KFL will be offering lunch during the summer! Children ages 18 and younger may visit the library Monday through Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. for a free lunch. Lunches will be available in the cafe space on the first floor of the library. The Summer Lunch program runs from the week of June 3 through August 9. No meals will be served on July 4 due to library closure. Registration is not required for this program.

Tarot Club
Wednesday, Jul. 31, 7:00 PM

Have you always been interested in the mysteries of the tarot? This is your sign to start exploring them! Students in grades 6-10 are invited to join us to explore the artistry of different tarot and oracle decks and learn how to use the cards for self-reflection, meditation, creativity, and critical thinking exercises. Previous experience with tarot cards not required! Tarot Club will meet on Wednesdays at 7 PM from 5/29 - 7/31.

A box of bookish surprises curated for teens entering grades 9-12! Each month will feature a different theme and contain a book, treats, and an activity. Whether you like to battle, trade, or just discuss all things Pokémon, this club is for you! Bring your cards and decks and join us for an hour of poke-tastic fun! For kids entering grades preK - 8. Registration is required for each meeting. Registration begins one week in advance of each meeting.

D&D Academy
Saturday, Aug. 3, 3:00 PM

For students enterings grades 5 - 10
Whether you’re brand new to D&D or have been playing for a few years, students entering grades 5-10 are invited to come learn more about the most famous roleplaying game in the world. Learn about character creation and optimization, as well as how to effectively play different types of characters. We’ll also discuss D&D lore that may be useful when designing your own games! D&D Academy will meet at 3:00 PM on the following Saturdays: June 1, June 22, July 13, and August 3.


Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each meeting. Space is limited.
