Cookbook Club
Tuesday, Oct. 22, 6:30 pm
Do you love cooking? Join us as we explore food themes through cookbooks. Select a recipe to make from the library's cookbook collection or make a recipe from one of your cookbooks. No Internet recipes please. Bring your dish to share along with a copy of the recipe.

The Cookbook Club meets quarterly on the fourth Tuesday.  Intended for ages 18+.  Registration is required and begins Tuesday, October 8 at 9:00 am.

A Bewitching Night a
Friday, Oct. 25, 6:30 pm
Experience the magical evening with henna tattoos, palm reading, virtual reality, black & white horror movies, a selfie station, and a costume contest. Light refreshments will be served.

This program is for adults 18 and up. Registration is required and opens at 9:00 am on Friday, October 11.
Treat Your Shelf Boo
Monday, Oct. 28, 6:30 pm
Meet with us on last Monday of each month at 6:30 pm to discuss a variety of fiction titles in a fun, laid-back setting. This is an “anything goes” book club and our books will be diverse in their range. No registration is required.  Find copies of each month's title at the Check Out Desk.

Movie Night: Hocus P
Wednesday, Oct. 30, 7:00 pm
It's not just a bunch of hocus pocus!  Enjoy watching the 1993 Walt Disney Studios film, Hocus Pocus! Refreshments will be provided.

This program is for adults ages 18+.  Registration is not required.
Free Concert: Folk s
Sunday, Nov. 3, 2:00 pm
Enjoy a free all-ages concert at the library when Jesse Huge, a folk musician from Burton, performs bluegrass and old country music with banjo, acoustic guitar, and vocals. Huge takes pride in crafting unique songs that carry great meaning for him.

Concerts are held on the 2nd floor balcony, so music can be enjoyed throughout the building.  Limited seating will be available.

No registration is required.

Concerts are generously supported by the Friends of Kent Free Library.

Children in grades 3-5 are invited to join us with an adult for our book group that celebrates reading together! Encourage reading and interaction with titles that we choose together! 
The History of Salt

Salt cellar collector Muriel Breyley offers a presentation about the history of salt.  In ancient times, salt was highly valued and its production was legally restricted, so it was historically used as a method of trade and currency.

Learn about the history of this valuable worldwide commodity.

Mocktails & Masterpi
Monday, Nov. 11, 7:00 pm
Enjoy refreshing non-alcoholic mocktails while painting your own artistic masterpiece to take home. All supplies are provided.

This program is for adults ages 18+. Registration is required and opens Monday, October 28 at 9:00 am.
