Learn about Native American quilting and jewelry making at this special presentation of Creative Crafters. First, hear from Nell Orndorf as she presents the history and symbolism of the Star Quilt. Then, hear from Pam Allen as she shares about Native American jewelry traditions and her jewelry making process. Randolph resident and recent Kent State University graduate Anthony Catalano, with assistance from Sundance, Executive Director of the Cleveland American Indian Movement, investigated the pre-colonial history of the area. Anthony will share his findings, and along with Sundance, lead an informal discussion about how Portage County residents can approach the topic of restoring indigenous people's history/names to Portage County.
