Enjoy a lively discussion of Booth Tarkington's classic The Magnificent Ambersons with other literature lovers via Zoom. You can find ebook or digital audiobook copies using the library's Hoopla or Ohio Digital Library (Overdrive/Libby) services or can place a hold on a copy using SearchOhio after July 27.

Registration is required on the Library Events page. Registrants will receive a confirmation email including the Zoom link.

Diverse Voices Book
Thursday, Aug. 20, 7:00 pm
Discuss books by authors that have been historically sidelined due to discrimination. This month, readers can choose between Pushout by Monique Morris and Why They Marched by Susan Ware (eBook & audiobook available via Hoopla). For adults 18 and up.

Registration is required and begins on Thursday, July 30. Registrants will receive a Zoom link in a confirmation email.
Mocktails and Master
Monday, Aug. 24, 6:30 pm
Grab your favorite beverage and a canvas, and create a Rainbow Starry Night in the comfort of your own home by following along with a Facebook Premiere demonstration. Look for the event on the Library's Facebook page to get a reminder about the event.

Supplies:
A canvas
2 paint brushes (1 large and 1 small)
1 cup of water
1 paper towel
1 paper plate
Paint colors- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, white
Virtual Book Club

Each month's book selection for this social-distance-approved book group is determined by collective vote on social media, and comes from a variety of genres. August's selection is The Ninja Daughter by Tori Eldridge, and is available in eBook or audiobook via Hoopla in the library's Stream and Download Collection.

For adults 18 and up. Registration is required. Registrants will receive a Zoom link in the confirmation email.
Virtual Film Club
Monday, Aug. 31, 7:00 pm
Come to Virtual Film Club to discuss the film The Hours, is the story of three women searching for more potent, meaningful lives. Each is alive at a different time and place, all are linked by their yearnings and their fears. Their stories intertwine, and finally come together in a surprising, transcendent moment of shared recognition. Use the library's catalog or call the library to put a copy of The Hours on hold; you can also stream the movie for free using the library's Kanopy service.

Registration is required and begins Monday, August 10 at 9:00 pm.  Registrants will receive a link to the Zoom meeting in a confirmation email. For Adults ages 18+.
Thursday Book Club
Thursday, Sep. 10, 6:30 pm
Enjoy discussing popular books with fellow book lovers on Zoom the 2nd Thursday of each month. September's selection is Meet Me in Monaco: A Novel of Grace Kelly's Royal Wedding by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb.
