Defensive Driving Cl

Want to save money on your car insurance? Of course, you do! On Saturday, April 27 from 10 am to 4 pm, the library will be hosting a Defensive Driving Course presented by Peter Khan. This course allows you to save 10% on your vehicle liability, collision, and personal injury protection (PIP) insurance premiums for three years! You could also reduce up to four points on your driving record. 

$40 due day of class. Please bring pen, paper, and a bag lunch.

*This is NOT the five hour course needed to take your driving test.*

Learn how Yoga postures, mindful movements, and breathing techniques can have a beneficial effect on your nervous system. This class is for any experience level and uses a chair for seated postures. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in.

The #Connect4Respect: Bullying and Cyberbullying workshop provides a foundation for identifying bullying and its three forms, the different types of technology used to cyberbully, as well as the impact bullying and cyberbullying have on the individual, family, and friends. This workshop also educates participants to be helpful, and supportive, and seek help when faced with or witnessing bullying or cyberbullying. This program is geared for tweens and teens and parents are welcome to attend.

This program will be offered on Zoom. An email with the Zoom link for this program will be sent out to all program registrants in advance. We will also host an in-person screening of this program in the Library's Bennett Room.

Teen DIY: Altoid Tin

Celebrate National Library Week by upcycling an Altoid tin into a mini library! Books, accessories, and stickers are included and will allow you to customize your mini library. Not only will you get to unleash your creativity by customizing your mini library, but you'll also be helping the environment by upcycling the Altoid tins. For grades 6 - 12.
Teen DIY: Bee Homes

Get ready for spring and support your local bees! Bees are so important to our local ecosystems. Help them out by building them safe homes to raise their families in. Supplies will be provided. Roll up your sleeves and “bee” a pollinator hero this spring! For grades 6 - 12.

This is meant to be a gentle introduction to group activities for our youngest patrons!

Walking is better with good company! Join Adult Programmer Gabrielle Esposito for Walking Club! We will be gathering at the Cary Institute, and will be taking the Wappinger Creek Trail (1.25 mi.). Please take proper precaution to guard against ticks; bug spray, long pants, and tucked shirts are recommended. Before registering for this event, please note that you will be required to sign a waiver before or on the day of the event.
