We are very excited to announce the visit of renowned American author, radio host and humorist Garrison Keillor to the Main Library on May 7 at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Keillor will read from his new novel and answers questions from readers. Mark the date on your calendar for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Plans are underway to expand the Teen area in the Main Library. Public meetings will be held over the next couple months. Watch this space for updates. Can’t wait for the meeting? Post your ideas for how we can improve the Teen area right here!

Did you know you can customize the colors of the calendar widget? (See the post below for more information on the widget.) The Iframe code contains values for the border color, link color, cell background color and primary background color. Change these values to match the color scheme of your site.

Here are three of the Library’s goals for the new year. What are yours?

• add free wireless Internet access;
• introduce new baby storytime sessions for our youngest users;
• expand our new teen area with two new computer workstations.
