Shakespeare for All is in collaboration with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival and is a program for the community by the community.
Senior Awareness Day
Thursday, May 24, 8:30- 11:30 am
Senior citizens are invited to stop by the Modesto Library to learn about resources that are available to them. Representatives from organizations/programs including HICAP, Howard Training Center, and others will be on hand to answer questions and help with program enrollment. Participants are invited to visit booths along the library's portico to learn about free resources while enjoying light refreshments and a free prize drawing.

Magician Magic Dan

Through the power of magic, Magic Dan helps kids embrace reading and feel good about themselves. Pick up FREE tickets one hour before the show in the Children's Room.
Around the World in Seven Days: Africa
Wednesday, Jun. 6, 2:00 to 4:00 pm
Travel "around the world in seven days" with the Hughson Library! Our first stop is the continent of Africa.  You will have a chance to make a tissue paper safari, giraffe handprints, and rain sticks.  You can also play Mancala and Ampe, which are traditional African games.  Learn about a variety of African cultures and try on real Ghanaian clothing.
