The MoSt Summer Poetry Workshops - Imitation for Inspiration: New Poems from Great Poems

Join former Modesto Poet Laureate Gillian Wegener, Modesto-Stanislaus Poetry Center (MoSt), and the Modesto Library for the first in a series of monthly poetry workshops. In this workshop, you'll create new work inspired by the works of other great poets. Have fun, surprise yourself, and leave the workshop with a new poem or two.

Senior Awareness Day

RESCHEDULED FROM MAY 25th: Senior citizens are invited to stop by the Modesto Library to learn about resources that are available to them. Representatives from organizations/programs including HICAP, Howard Training Center, and others will be on hand to answer questions and help with enrollment into programs. Participants are invited to visit booths along the library's portico to learn about free resources while enjoying light refreshments and a free prize drawing.

Help the Ribbles build a new residence by playing interactive games and discovering basic building techniques. The audience will help draw a ground plan while Thia Tweet, the bird architect, and Gerry the Ant, Contractor from Brooklyn, assist the Ribbles in building a new home for 
a better world . This program is best for ages 5 and up, but all ages are welcome!
