Fit & Fun Exercise,
Colfax Branch Library
Wednesday, Jun. 20, 10 - 11 a.m.
Join Fit and Fun, gentle exercise for adults and seniors on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. in the Center in Colfax (adjacent to the library). Enjoy a gentle warm-up, low impact aerobic workout, and a soothing cool down. Cost is $5 per class but instructor Nancy Stanard invites you to try your first class for free. Open Lab @ the TEK C

Discover, create, and tinker during Open Lab @ the TEK Center.  Kids 1st grade and up are invited to drop-in from 10-11 to explore robotics, engineering and more with our Ozobots, Snap Circuits, and Lego EVO Robotics kits.

Kids who completed grades 4, 5, 6  meet daily for two weeks to discuss lifeskills, healthy choices, and how to overcome adversity.  Workshops meet daily for two week starting June 18 from 11 a.m. tonoon at the Tekoa Library.  Kids will be fed lunch and given a pool pass each day. Sponsored by Healthy Tekoa Coalition.

Need help with home energy bills? Lindsey Brocious from Community Action Center is coming to Tekoa on Wednesday, June 20 between 2 and 4:30 p.m.  The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) offers a one-time payment to help qualified Whitman County residents make their energy bills more affordable. The funding pays a portion of energy costs, but the payment is not intended to cover the yearly cost of a residence.  Seniors 60+ and disabled individuals may qualify for assistance as well. Must be an Avista customer and able to provide income documents.
