Flex & Flow, Colfax
Colfax Branch Library

Flex & Flow Yoga meets every Thursday from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. in the Colfax Library's meeting room. Flex and Flow is suitable for all levels. Poses focus on foundation, alignment, and breath; while building strength, flexibility, and focus. This class introduces Sun Salutations, linking movement with breath. It includes breath work (pranayama), joint opening, standing and seated poses, meditation, and relaxation. Modifications are offered to personalize your practice to your desired level.

Book Sale & Extended
Malden Branch Library

The Malden Library is excited to have the John Wayne Trail Riders back in Malden this year. The library will be open extended hours on Wed, May 30 through Fri, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During these extended hours, the library's hosting a book sale. All proceeds go back to the library for future activities throughout the year.

Eric Herman is a children's music performer. His music combines various styles of rock music with humorous kid related lyrics to create what he refers to as cool tunes for kids.

Colfax Branch Library

Ray Sun, Professor of History at WSU presents, “Remembering through Walls and Names:  The Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Subsequent Memorials to War and Genocide” on Thursday, March 15 at 12:15 at the Methodist Church in Colfax.  The presentation discusses the Vietnam Memorial, and the impact it has had in shaping subsequent memorials. Many now adopt the “wall of names” concept, including the 9/11 memorial and a major planned Holocaust memorial in Amsterdam. Sun explores the commonalities and differences between the Wall and the later memorial sites. 
This presentation is being held in conjunction with the weekly Colfax Rotary meeting. It is free and open to the public. If you would like to order lunch contact Kristie Kirkpatrick at 509-397-4366 and arrive by noon. Otherwise, just come to listen!
