Fit & Fun Exercise,
Colfax Branch Library
Wednesday, Oct. 25, 10 - 11 a.m.
Join Fit and Fun, gentle exercise for adults and seniors on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. in the Center in Colfax (adjacent to the library). Enjoy a gentle warm-up, low impact aerobic workout, and a soothing cool down. Cost is $5 per class but instructor Nancy Stanard invites you to try your first class for free. Children, parents/caregivers will enjoy engaging stories and participate in imaginative activities that include songs, fingerplays, action activities, crafts, puppets, and more each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m..

Kids grades 3-5, want to join an 8 week math club?
We're nothing like your usual math club. With Crazy 8s kids will build glow-in-the-dark structures, crack secret spy codes and play games like Toilet Paper Olympics.

The club meets Wednesdays starting September 13 thru November 1.

Intro to Ukulele Plu

The ukulele has recently made a huge comeback in popularity and is the easiest of all stringed instruments to learn to play. Join instructor Scott Hallett for Introduction to Ukulele Plus on Wednesdays beginning October 11 through November 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Colfax Library. The emphasis is on fun rather than theory. This class is for absolute beginners, as well as those who have taken the previous introduction to ukulele or ukulele plus classes or already know simple chords. Information about purchasing a ukulele is sent after registration. Ukuleles are not provided in class.

The city of Garfield has an event on Halloween called Trunk or Treat. The children will be making the decorations for the library's trunk. Then we will celebrate with treats, games, and prizes.
