The Knox County Divorce Index is a compendium of listings from all the courts that processed divorces in Knox County over the designated period. The courts listed in this index include the Circuit Court(s), Chancery Court, Criminal Court and Domestic Relations Court. Though this index covers the period 1792-1985, it is not comprehensive at this time. There are a limited number of divorces from the 19th Century still to be indexed as well as a large number from the late 1970‘s and early to mid 1980‘s. A significant number included in this index have incomplete information in the entry, however, there are approximately ninety-three thousand entries included in the index to search which should improve over time as we continue to work on it.
