Join us as we explore how our Constitution came to be and how it has managed to survive its long and difficult life.

Dr. Thomas Flagel will lecture on the lead up to the Constitutional Convention while discussing what the Constitution meant to early Americans and explore how it, too, was a reaction to the ideas of the American Revolution.

Dr. Thomas Flagel is an American History professor at Columbia State Community College. He holds a PhD in Public History from Middle Tennessee State University. He has written several books on the Civil War and The History Buff’s Guide series.
