When out buying a birthday present for her boyfriend, Tom, Jenny is inextricably drawn to the mysterious boy behind the counter who goes by the name Julian. She's never seen him before, but something about him draws her in. She doesn't expect it when the game she got suddenly starts happening in real life, with Julian in the center of it all. Soon enough, her friends are sucked into it all, heir own worst fears as their foes. To get out of it all, Julian wants one thing and one thing alone--Jenny. It'll take all of her strength to get her and her friends out of this one alive.

This was one of the books that really got me into reading. I've loved it since I first became a reader and will probably love it until the end. It's amazingly humorous, caring and heartbreaking, though it may be a little dark for some. This is an excellent book for any fantasy reader.

"Have you ever seen a face hidden in the bark of a tree and known that the man trapped inside wanted to hurt you?" This is the question that starts the chilling story of "The Crossroads." Zach Jennings and his family move to Connecticut. There some mysterious things start happening. They discover that the crossroads that their house s on is haunted by an evil ghost. Will they be able to defeat him?
This book was pretty good. The only problem I had with it was that it was a little too young for me. However, in middle school I probably would have loved this book.

It's told through texts, emails, images, and web browser screenshots. It's obvious almost immediately what's going on. iDrakula is a very fast read, even for a 150 page book, and is very fast paced. Because of this, I never really got into the story and didn't feel any connection to the characters. It was a good story, but I think it could hae been told better if it included an actual story, not just texts and emails. Overall, iDrakula was an okay book.

 -------------------------------------------
Find this Book in the Library Catalog (V-Cat):
 "IDrakula" by Bekka Black

Billi is the only girl ever to be inducted in, and she hates every minute. When her friend, Kay, returns from his year-long study vacation in Jerusalem training as an Oracle, and almost unleashes the 69 evil Grigori held captive in the Cursed Mirror, it does nothing to sway her opinion. Benson is a foster child who is constantly being shipped around. He applies for a boarding school for children like him who have no home to go to. The school is not what is seems and there is no turning back once you get there, you are trapped. As he adjusts to the strange ways in the school he discovers a grueling secret that could just be the end of him! This was once again an excellent book! If you read this don't get to attached to anyone because you never now what might happen!

 -------------------------------------------

Find this Book in our Library Catalog (V-Cat):
Variant by Robison Wells
