Project LIT Community Book Club Meeting
Canton Public Library
Wednesday, May 22, 2:30 PM
Project LIT Community, reads Speak: The Graphic Novel, by Laurie Halse Anderson. We’ll meet at Canton High School’s Media Center for our official chapter’s final Project LIT book discussion of the school year. Started as a Nashville educator’s community project to increase access to good books in areas with very limited reading opportunities, Project LIT grew into a school/library partnership to create enthusiastic readers through offering the right kind of books: high-interest, culturally relevant books that encourage a diverse viewpoint.

Grades 7-12 (if you can make the meeting, you don’t have to be a Canton student); free. Registration is required, either by phone or on the library website under Upcoming Programs. Space is limited. Canton Middle/High School is at 76 Simonds Avenue, Canton. Information: call the library at (860) 693-5800, or email mglasgow@cantonpubliclibrary.org.
