Teen Short Story Workshop with Clair Williams
Canton Public Library
Thursday, Mar. 21, 1:00 PM
In anticipation of the upcoming Canton Teen Writing Contest beginning March 25, we offer this two-part writing program (part two is March 21 at 3:00 pm). You’ve heard of the national writing activity called Nanowrimo, or perhaps participated in our writing camp over the summer? Now is the chance to apply those skills or dip your feet into novel writing with short stories. Learn techniques and mechanics that create beautiful, thrilling and moving stories, and apply this to your own work. Receive feedback from a small and thoughtful group of young writers. Grades 7 and up (younger writers need to get permission from Meghan or Clair). Registration required, either online on the Upcoming Programs listing, or by phone; free. Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton. For information or to register: call (860) 693-5800, email mglasgow@cantonpubliclibrary.org.
