Join us for upcoming events, classes and programs at Westwood Free Public Library! All events are free and open to the public. Registration required where noted. The library reserves the right to cancel any program due to inclement weather or other unforeseen events.

Ms. Shelley returns showing us how to move and stretch our growing bodies while connecting it to a relevant story.  (30 mins)

This infant program will provide early literacy opportunities for caregivers and babies through a story time with interactive song, rhymes and fingerplay specifically for this age group. (30 mins)

Gather together and work on your current knitting and crocheting projects as you chat and socialize with fellow yarn-lovers! Bring your own supplies and trade tips and ideas, share patterns, and create beautiful pieces alongside friends. All skill levels are welcome! This club will meet weekly. (1 hr)

Join us outside at 10am on Saturday, April 27 for a tree planting with the Shade Tree Committee, part of ArborFest 2024.

All our welcome to attend and learn a little something about trees before we get one planted at the Library!  Inside will be a woodturning program that while the registration to woodturn is full, you can still take a look at how it's done.

The Hudson Valley Wood Turners will be at the Westwood Library on Saturday, April 27 from 11-3pm.  Please register for one of the four slots available each hour for one on one instruction on wood turning and making your own pen.  Of course you are welcome to come to just watch, too! (Suitable for grade 4 through adult)

Mr. Corbitt's music classes build a musical foundation by encouraging musical play and introducing simple music theory exercises that connect tykes’ musical world to ours, and more importantly, ours to theirs. Using contemporary songs from the realms of jazz, reggae, pop, rock, and R&B to illustrate these developmental concepts,  They'll be singing and dancing the whole time! (30 mins)

Because of the popularity of this program and space considerations, we ask for only one caregiver per child.
