Adult Abrstract Painting Workshop

Art is full of emotion! After looking at various abstract pieces of art, participants will create their own work of art based on an emotion they choose. What colors represent that emotion? What types of line, shape, texture? Explore different mark making techniques that you will use to make your abstract art come to life with pops of color. This workshop can be drawing, painting, or collage focused (or a mixture of all three). Focusing on how mistakes can transform into purposeful looking marks and how different colors and mark making skills can convey many emotions while using different brushes and experimenting with color mixing. Participants choose the emotion they’d like to represent and are guided through artistic mark making to have their vision come to life.
