"Boil the Frog Slowly" Presented by Empowerhouse

“Boil the Frog Slowly” by Derek Brown is a theatrical performance featuring the stories of local survivors of domestic violence. Join us and Empowerhouse for the play and more information on how to identify domestic violence and what options are available for support in leaving an abusive situation.
Empowerhouse is a nonprofit, 501(C)3 Virginia accredited domestic violence program serving Fredericksburg, Caroline, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and now open to service the King George community at their new Empowerhouse Outreach Office located in the King George County Sheriff’s Department. They have provided services to the community for 37 years and continue to have many helping and educational programs offered throughout the community including a secret shelter, a 24-hour hotline (540-373-9373), victim advocacy, children’s services, support groups for victims, teens and children, Spanish language and culturally relevant services, transition in-place housing assistance, court advocacy, accompaniment to court and healthcare visits, teen dating violence prevention, as well as batterer intervention programs.
