These practices include using native plants, using insect-friendly outdoor lighting, collecting rain water, etc.

Verónica Brown is a lifelong learner, avid backyard birder, and native plant enthusiast. In 2025, she earned a Pollinator Steward Certificate from UMass Amherst Extension and reached a personal milestone by certifying her property as a Certified Wildlife Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. As an artist, she finds joy in creating thriving ecosystems and celebrating the natural world through her creative work and community education.
