Summer Reading Program June 19th - Aug. 11th
Saxton B. Little Free Library

Monday, Jul. 17,

When does it start?

The Summer Reading Program will officially begin on Monday, June 19th. Registration will remain open all summer. Summer Reading activities will end on Friday, August 11th, with cake and a Magic Show!

How do I sign up?

We will have Summer Reading activities for everyone, from infants to adults. Visit the Library any time after June 19th and fill out a registration card. You will receive an information packet, reading log, and a calendar of summer events.

Build a better world this summer at the Saxton B!

For every 3 books or 100 pages of reading you can choose to donate a can of cat food or a bag of dog treats (provided by the Library) to Our Companions Animal Rescue of Connecticut instead of choosing a prize. Kids who choose to donate at least 6 times during the Summer Reading Program will get to adopt their own stuffed animal!  Help us meet our goal of donating 500 cans and treats this summer!

What kinds of special events are there?

Glad you asked! We will offer fun, free, shows and activities every Friday during the Summer Reading Program. Story Time will continue on Tuesdays at 10:30 all summer long. You will receive a calendar of events when you register. JOIN US FOR OUR KICK OFF PROGRAM: Sciencetellers: Building Tall Ships & Pirate Tales! Set sail with us on a thrilling action-packed adventure about a crew of pirates marooned on a desert island. Throughout the story, volunteers from the audience will help us explore the incredible science behind clouds, combustion, air pressure, scientific variables and more! Friday, June 23rd at 2:00 @ YEOMANS HALL.

Call Megan @ 228-0350 or stop by the Library for more information!

*Registration for the first couple weeks of events will be open on Tuesday, May 30th.
