Bob Backlund, was a professional wrestling star for more than four decades and is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

A Minnesota native who has lived in Glastonbury for many years, Backlund will be bringing copies of his book "Backlund: From All-American Boy to Professional Wrestling's World Champion" to sell and sign.

In 1978, he captured the then-World Wide Wrestling Federation heavyweight championship from "Superstar" Billy Graham, and held the title for more than five years. He had a brief second tenure as champion in 1994.

Backlund has wrestled nearly every big name in the sport, including Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret "Hitman" Hart, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and Andre the Giant.

He continues to make occasional appearances for the WWE, teaching amateur wrestling to children and traveling the country as a much-loved motivational speaker.
