This outdoor walking experience will begin at the Pewaukee Public Library where Master Gardener, Sally Ruf will give us a tour and insight into the library’s rain garden. We will also hear from Jayne Jenks, Conservation Specialist, Waukesha County Lake Resources Division, on the step-by-step process of installing your own rain garden. Then we will walk about 0.4 miles to the Penny Van Horn Bridge (H.C. Koepp Village Park) where we will hear from Pewaukee River Partnership’s, Charlie Shong. Charlie was instrumental in the bridgebuilding, riverbank restoration, native planting landscape, and all the efforts around the bridge. This is one exciting and interactive experience you don’t want to miss! This program will take place rain or shine. Please plan to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
