or call 219-987-2221.

The DeMotte Library is seeking teen volunteers to help during our Summer Reading Program, scheduled to begin in June. Open to ages 11-17, teens interested in volunteering this summer are invited to attend a Volunteer Training Session on Tuesday, May 29th from 4:30-5 pm, where they can fill out a form and sign up for dates that they are available to volunteer during the library’s upcoming “Libraries Rock” Summer Reading Program. This meeting will also provide an overview of the Summer Reading Program and how our volunteers can help the Children’s Department and staff to make our program a success.

Volunteering is rewarding and offers the chance to acquire valuable work experience, as well as a fun way to spend time with children.

Registration is required to attend. To sign up, visit or call the DeMotte Library at 987-2221.
