If you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, or you are cooking or caring for a loved one with diabetes, making good food choices can be confusing. Take the guesswork out of meal planning by coming to the DeMotte Library’s “Dining With Diabetes” program series, presented by Alice Smith from Purdue Extension Service.

Held each Tuesday, April 10-May 1 from 9:30-11:30 am, this program will provide meal planning strategies and recipes that will help those with diabetes and those cooking for loved ones with diabetes make the best choices without feeling deprived at meal and snack-time.

Cost to attend is $20 per person. Class schedule includes “What is Diabetes/Snack & Appetizers,” “Carbs & Sweeteners/Desserts,” “Fats & Sodium/Main Dishes,” and “Putting it All Together/Side Dishes.”

Registration is required, and is available online at or by visiting or calling the DeMotte Library at 987-2221.
