STEM Solvers Digital Community
All Locations

Monday, Jun. 22
Have you ever wondered how spacecraft send signals home to Earth? How giant telescopes listen for signals from space? What it takes to build and drive a Mars rover? Do you like to ask questions and search for answers to quench your curiosity? Use your wit to build contraptions and solve puzzles?

Join NASA Solar System Ambassador volunteer Michaela Neal and El Dorado County Library as we launch an all-new digital community for tweens and teens ages 10-16 to sharpen academic skills and collaborate with other kids who love to explore and create. Participants will build a portfolio of real-world STEM experiences, including remotely operating a real radio telescope in the Mojave Desert.

This program will be held online through Moodle and led by Michaela Neal while being monitored by library staff. It begins June 22nd and goes through August 22nd (dates subject to change). The library will provide each student with a "STEM Solvers" kit containing all the supplies you need to participate in class. Once you register, your local library branch will contact you to arrange curbside pick up of your kit.
