SLT - Tahoe Friendly Gardens

Saturday, Jun. 29, 1-3 pm
It’s summertime! What a great time to be out enjoying your garden. And while you are out there, have you have been considering a few changes?  Maybe it could better suit your familiy’s needs, or you would like to reduce maintenance.  Perhaps you want  a pollinator garden or to better manage pests?   Have you been peeking over your back fence in search of good ideas?

Look no further.  This gardening workshop is for you!  Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe will provide you with tools and guidance to help you take that step from dreaming to doing.

To get the most out of this free, hands-on free workshop, please bring some materials and information with you.

Some suggestions:

a simple sketch of the garden area that you want to rethink
   area measurements
the location of existing features that you’d like to keep
a list of your favorite plants, textures, colors, and garden “looks” you like
pictures of your landscape area for reference
a record of how many hours of direct, and filtered light the area receives on a clear day

We will supply materials for drawing your plans as well as seasonal gardening tips.
