The Precedents of the President
2 West Main Street

Wednesday, Feb. 27, 7:00-8:00 pm
When George Washington was about to become the first President under the Constitution of the United States he said, "I walk on untrodden ground to shape America." And he did! Everything that George Washington did, form the inaugural oath, through the establishment of the US Treasury, to the creation of the Coast Guard, cabinet meetings, appointment of ambassadors, and justice of the Supreme Court, his dealing with Congress, to the time when Washington unilaterally refused to run for a third term for the presidency was a precedent.
Meet Rich Rosental, lecturer and presiden of the North Jersey Civel War Round Table for the discussion about George Washington and his firsts.

This program has been rescheduled due to inclement weather on 2/20- the new date will be Wednesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m.
