Lunch & Learn: "Vietnam: A Seabee’s Different Experience"
Clinton Community Library

Thursday, Jun. 14, 12:30
Registration required, begins May 24.
“Vietnam: A Seabee’s Different Experience” is a personal account by Craig Marshall, Clinton resident, of his experiences as a USN Seabee stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam. As battalion Vietnamese interpreter, he worked in the villages and city as part of the Civic Action program to help local families. He will speak to photos showing his varied projects, including teaching English in grammar schools, collecting and distributing donated clothing from the States, and a scholarship program to allow children of poor families to attend school. Craig’s experience was very different and positive compared to most others serving in the war, and he will share his thoughts and views on what he saw and learned. He is the Town of Clinton Historian, and Clinton Historical Society Vice President.

Registration is require for lunch, as we have a limited number of spots available. All are welcome to join us for dessert and the lecture at 1.
